Tanner was totally right.

It is weird to read old posts on a livejournal/blog. So weird how much has changed in the past few years! Moving, jobs, etc.

I really want to start keeping track of it daily at least for myself if for no one else.

I'm a bartender now. Getting excited about St. Patty's Day because it's on a Tuesday this year, so I'm hoping I will be super super busy.

I also need to keep track of mementos and memories from shows, those kind of things were fun to read. I got us tickets to Lady Gaga and The Kills in April, & I hope maybe we'll get to go to Six Flags America to ride some new coasterzzz! :D Busch Gardens in a week now! I can't wait, I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to come! Such good fun and memories had there this past summer, and I can't wait to make an entire season's worth this year!

We were so freaking busy at work on Friday night. I worked 20 hours straight. I really don't know that I can recall ever working that long, but now since I'm going to keep track of things I will know. ;)

Alrighty, that's enough for now, but I promise to keep you updated, livejournal ... so one day I can look back & read all these entries again. (Unless they sell livejournal or it goes under haha)

xoxo
j

i'm bringin winter back.

so winter is back i suppose, after a freakish display of 70+ degree weather yesterday and the patio at work being packed full because it felt like a summer day. odd times i tell you. global warming at it's finest.

now it's back to 50-something degrees. if that's not nuts, i don't know what is...

i know many people know this already ... but i fucking love blondie. i hate it when people refer to blondie as "her." it's a fucking band already..... you would think after 20 some years, people would realize that. oh well. unimportant things that get on my nerves.

another unimportant thing that gets under my skin. seeing the film the other night on television has this fresh on my mind ... people's stupidity concerning the wizard of oz. please let me set the record straight.....

1. the entire movie was NOT shot in black & white then later colorized. it was shot in TECHNICOLOR. look it up.

2. it's the "lollipop guild." not the fucking lollipop "kids."

3. there is not someone that hung themself on the set in the woods.

4. there is not a widescreen version of the wizard of oz or gone with the wind or ANY movies that old. so stop bitching about it not being released in it's "original" format. widescreen began to be used in the 60s to compete with the 4:3 television format. they thought it would draw more people to the theaters.

okay. rant is over. i don't know why i just listed all that shit. maybe i'm too bored.

and hungry.

i really want to develop my rasputina pictures soon. the digital ones i took turned out wonderfully .... i was really pleased.

okay i'm going to locate some food.

insomnia sucks.

well, i dont believe i really have "insomnia" as i do fall asleep, but i wake up about 100 million times a night, and my sleep isn't very complete, i wake up feeling really tired. i finally gave in just now and got up thinking that sitting in front of the computer might make me tired enough to fall asleep for a good long stretch.

i guess now that i think about it, i've probably fucked up my sleep schedule from where i've been sick. because the only time i get really good sleep is during the daytime. then i suppose at night, i'm not really tired enough to sleep for any length of time. although i'm really tired right now. i want to just lay down and go to dreamland. *sigh*

maybe i will go try to fall asleep again ...

it is just the worst feeling when you are so tired .... but can't sleep.

netflix is the best idea anyone has ever had.

i got valley of the dolls, promptly watched it, and sent it back the next day. tomorrow i will be watching the new john waters stand up dvd that was just released.

valley of the dolls was okay, not as campy as i had thought it was going to be, but i'm guessing that's saved for beyond the valley of the dolls (which is also in my netflix queue) :)

last night i went with tanner to the PeTA christmas party. that was the most fun holiday party or official "party" for that matter that i've ever been to. it was in a kick ass hotel, complete with open bar and mashed potatoes served in martini glasses. i didn't quite understand the concept of food in glasses, but maybe i'm just behind in the times, or not that "fancy." but the dancing was so fun and i got to hang with all the people i've come to love here.

after the party some of us headed down to a sports bar and continued drinking and dancing the night away. what a freaking blast!

tomorrow night rasputina is playing at jewish mother in va beach. i can't fucking wait to see them again. i hope i can get some good photos this time, as last time we saw them in asheville was the first outing of my then "new" camera ... i was still trying to get comfortable using it. so hopefully i can capture some kick ass pictures to add to my always growing collection.

for some reason this year, im not in a very "holiday" mood. maybe it's just too soon, seems like last christmas was not a year ago. i dunno. maybe time is just going faster now that i'm a quarter of a century old. go figure.

I'm glad that my birthday was before all this bullshit went down.

everyone here is happy about the victory. most everyone at work. they make me sick to my stomach. fuck them all. they are worried about "tax cuts" while people are FUCKING DYING FOR NO REASON. FUCK them.

laura bush getting a new puppy for her birthday makes top yahoo news stories. this is truly a sign.

Snow, snow, I hope the roads don't get bad. It's pretty and all, but not worth all that trouble.

We were supposed to go see Jucifer Wednesday night, but they cancelled at the last minute. I was so excited too, I want to go see a show soon! I'm sure this spring/summer will bring lots of fun trips though.

I'm really tired so that is all.

Well I haven't updated in a while, so I thought I'd write a little something to let everyone know I'm still here.

Went thrift store shopping with Ashley and Christy Wednesday, that was fun, got lots of cool stuff.

Congrats to Lynds on baby, what a good mommy to be! :)

Had a visit with my grandmother today, it kind of made me a little sad, but happy in a way too. We shared horror stories about my crazy mother, had a couple of laughs, and a pretty good time.

I wish I had some time off soon, I'm tired of being tired.

That's all for now.

So, yeah, Saturday was my birthday....I had a really good time, I can't believe that I'm actually 22 now. Seems weird once you get there I guess, but that's all part of the fun. I had fun with Tanner, he took me out to dinner which was awesome. Thanks to all who wished me a happy birthday.

I guess I don't really have anything else to say right now, so I'm gonna go.

    <lj:music>brutal enigma - the party of helicopters</lj:music>

Went to see Numbers and Erase Errata Sunday night. Awesome show. Fun, fun!

Was so tired from trip that I slept ALL evening after getting home from work Monday, so I'm well rested today even though I've been up since 6. Haven't done much of anything today but work, which sucks, but evenings pass by so fast. Had to spend an hour out while the pictures from the show were getting developed. Went to Mr. K's and found some cool vinyl.

Nice weather lately, I love the cool breeze at night. Why can't it stay like this all of the time?
